California's Department of Finance, after adopting Microsoft 365 (M365), sought a cloud backup solution due to the limitations of their existing on-premises setup, which lacked ransomware protection and incurred high maintenance costs. Turning to Cohesity DataProtect on Microsoft Azure, they found swift recovery during a ransomware attack, restoring M365 data for nearly all 500 users within 12 hours, saving significant time compared to their previous solution. They now also rely on Cohesity for cloud backup of virtual servers, ensuring rapid recovery in case of cyber attacks or disasters.
